This inviting Italian restaurant masterfully balances traditional flavors with a warm, welcoming atmosphere, making it a beloved destination for locals and visitors alike.
The menu at Toscana is a true celebration of Italy’s rich culinary heritage. From the first bite, dishes like the Perfect Meat Balls Starter burst with hearty, savory notes that awaken the palate, while the Sea Bass delivers delicate, flaky textures coupled with fresh maritime flavors. The Iberico Pork Tenderloin with Wild Mushroom stands out as a sumptuous main, its tender, juicy richness perfectly complemented by earthy mushroom undertones. For steak lovers, the Bistecca is nothing short of exceptional—grilled to perfection and wonderfully satisfying.
Beyond the mains, Toscana excels in starters and desserts that spark delight. Hot starters such as the Melanzana Alla Parmigiana and Polpette Piccanti bring robust, layered tastes that entice and comfort. The seafood options like Skate Wings and Prawn Cocktail provide a fresh, elegant contrast to the richer meat dishes, showcasing the kitchen’s versatility. Pasta lovers will find joy in classic dishes like Spaghetti Carbonara, Ravioli, and Penne Alla Matriciana, each cook with artisanal care and bursting with vibrant, authentic flavors.
No meal at Toscana is complete without indulgence in their desserts and sorbets. The iconic Tiramisu invites you with its creamy, coffee-soaked layers, while the Lemon Sorbet refreshes the palette with a bright citrus zing. For something more decadent, the Banoffee Pie offers a perfect harmony of banana, toffee, and cream—a divine finale to any meal.
Guests repeatedly praise Toscana not only for its food but equally for its exceptional service and atmosphere. As Dan Jordan mentioned, "Had a three-course dinner on a Friday night and was bowled over by how fantastic it was. Service, food, atmosphere, everything was fantastic." The staff's genuine warmth and attentive care create a familial environment reminiscent of classic Italian hospitality, as Mike Andrews noted appreciating the "old school Italian restaurant" vibe and prompt, friendly service.
The intimate yet lively setting makes Toscana an ideal spot for both quiet dinners and larger gatherings. Visitors like S Keep highlight the accommodating and thoughtful approach of the team, especially for groups with specific needs. The buzzing environment and steady flow of regular patrons speak volumes about the quality and consistency Toscana maintains.
Whether you are craving a comforting plate of Linguine Alla Pescatore, the fresh creaminess of Gelato Misto, or simply a perfectly brewed Cappuccino to end your meal, Toscana Restaurant promises an authentically Italian feast filled with passion and flavor. Booking ahead is recommended, given its popularity, but every moment spent here is truly worthwhile.

Had a three-course dinner on a Friday night and was bowled over by how fantastic it was. Service, food, atmosphere, everything was fantastic. We were looked after from the moment we walked in and we enjoyed one of our best restaurant experiences in recent memory – thanks so much to everyone on the team, we will be back!
What a lovely old school Italian restaurant that is reminiscent of how original family restaurants were years ago. Staff are so welcoming in true Italian fashion from the moment you enter, and I have never been asked anywhere so fast if I want a drink! All food that comes out of their kitchen is cooked fresh and with heaps of love - the salmon and crab duo starter kicks the flavours off, and the scallops are big, fresh and cooked in an eclectic harmony of flavours of wine, cream and stock. Even the accompanying rice is firm, meaty and also cooked in the same. Meal for three and with bread, wine, water and service under £150 which is pretty reasonable for all what we had.
This is our favourite Italian restaurant. The food is amazing and I can honestly say the Fillet steak is among the best I’ve ever tasted. Recommended, you won’t be disappointed
I've gone past this place hundreds of times and thought it was about time we went in. It was nice, the food is tasty and a good menu selection. A nice small Italian restaurant.
Visited with a large group including children and a wheelchair user. The staff were very helpful and attentive. Food was tasty and portion sizes large, although veggie options were quite restricted. No pizza offered, but lots of fish and meat dishes. Restaurant was packed, so booking ahead recommended and lots of customers appeared to be regulars.
Great place for groups and couples. We were there for my sister birthday. Good food with large portions. Staff friendly helpful and lovely atmosphere pics are selection of different dishes we ordered. Recommend as overall very nice
Food was decent. We were a large group and did at times feel rushed, which was a little stressful with children and a wheelchair user in tow but overall a lovely evening. As a vegetarian there were limited options but fortunately the bruschetta, ravioli and tiramisu was tasty and hit the spot.
